<새 연세한국어 시리즈>는 총 6단계로 각 단계마다 어휘와 문법, 말하기와 쓰기, 듣기와 읽기 교재로 구성되어 있습니다. 어휘와 문법 교재는 한국어 학습자들이 각 숙달도 별로 가장 필수적으로 익혀야 하는 주요 어휘와 문법에 대한 이해와 활용을 중심으로 구성되었 으며, 말하기와 쓰기 교재는 원활한 한국어 의사소통을 위해 꼭 필요한 표현 기능을 수행할 수 있도록 말하기, 쓰기 과제를 중심으로 구성되었습니다. 또한, 듣기와 읽기 교재는 읽기, 듣기 과제를 중심으로 각 급별 숙달도에 적절한 이해 능력을 함양시킬 수 있도록 구성되었습니다.
이 세 권의 교재는 어휘 ㆍ문법, 표현, 이해 능력의 고른 발달을 위해 패키지로 함께 사용될 수도 있고, 교육 현장여건이나 학습자 의 요구에 따라 별도로 사용될 수도 있습니다. 또한, 어휘와 문법 교재의 경우 별도의 지침서가 마련되어 교육 경험이 다소 부족한 국 내외의 한국어 교사들에게 유용한 길잡이가 될 수 있을 것입니다.
<새 연세한국어 시리즈>와 함께 한다면 국내외 한국어 교육을 위해 노력하는 많은 교사와 모든 학습자들에게 큰 도움이 될 것입니다.
This newly published New Yonsei Korean Language Series is comprised of six levels with each level consisting of textbooks for Vocabulary & Grammar, Speaking & Writing, and Listening & Reading. The Vocabulary & Grammar textbook is organized into lessons that help the learner understand and use the most essential vocabulary and grammar forms according to each proficiency level.
The Speaking & Writing textbook is organized by themes with speaking and writing activities to help the learner gain the necessary skills of expression for smooth communication.
Finally, the Listening & Reading textbook is organized by listening and reading activities to foster appropriate comprehension skills according to each level.
These three textbooks may be used together as a package for the uniform development of vocabulary & grammar, expression, and comprehension skills. They can also be used as individual textbooks according to the given conditions of the educational field or learner needs.
Furthermore, in the case of the Vocabulary & Grammar textbook, a separate guidebook has been prepared and can serve as a useful tool for the Korean language teachers in Korea or abroad who may not have much teaching experience.
The New Yonsei Korean Language Series will prove to be a tremendous help to many teachers who work hard for the education of the Korean language within Korea and around the world as well as be a helpful resource for all Korean language learners.

연세대학교 한국어학당 (Author)
한국어학당은외국인과 재외교포로서 한국어와 한국문화를 연구하려는 학생, 선교사, 외교관 및 대사관직원, 외국인교수, 주한상사 및 언론기관 임직원들에게 한국의 언어와 문화를 가르치며, 한국에 대한 이해를 증진시킬 목적으로 1959년 4월 1일 연세대학교 부속교육기관으로 설립되어 현재는 한국어 교육 분야에서 가장 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다.
한국어학당의 교수진은 석사학위 이상의 학력을 지니고 한국어교수법에 대한 교육을 받은 사람으로, 한국어에 대한 지식은 물론풍부한 교육경험을 통한 효율적인 교실운영으로 학생들이 한국문화에 적응하는 데에 큰 도움을 주고 있다.
현재 매 학기 160여 명의 우수한 강사진들이 약 2,300명의 학생을 가르치고 있으며, 2021학년도 봄학기까지 151개국에서 146,520명이 한국어학당에서 공부를 하였다.
The Korean Language Institute was established on April 1st, 1959 as the first institute to provide intensive Korean language courses.
The KLI not only has been offering Korean culture but also played a role introducing Korean culture and history through its language training to students, missionaries and diplomats.
All teachers are experienced and specially trained to teach Korean to non-native speakers.
The attentive KLI staff continually work towards providing an enriched environment for their students.
Today, the KLI has turned into a large-scale institute where 160 instructors
teach approximately 2,300 students per term. 8,100 students
have graduated from KLI in the past 62 years and total of 146,520 students
from 151 countries have studied Korean at KLI.
KLI students come from all over the world and
from all walks of life. The result is a lively, international mix
of students who provide a stimulating environment for learning
the Korean language. This environment provides many opportunities
for diverse discussions and cross-cultural exchange
that promote conversation skills and make for a better understanding of each other.
